When we were approached by one of Australia’s major treatment chair manufacturers, our mission was two-fold: to elevate the patient experience and to create a product that could effectively compete with the growing pressure from international manufacturers. The result of our collaboration is a revolutionary new treatment chair that offers a superior product at a more economical price point, providing our customers with more "bang for their buck." We believe it sets a new standard for comfort, safety, and efficiency in medical environments, all while ensuring profitability and market competitiveness.
Ergonomics Meets Innovation
One of the first challenges we tackled was creating a chair that could truly adapt to a patient's needs. We focused on features that make a tangible difference in comfort and functionality. The result is a chair with an integrated footrest and pivoting armrests that move with the patient. These small but crucial details help minimize strain and ensure a more relaxed treatment session. We also redesigned the column to allow for a lower seat height, making it easier for patients to get in and out of the chair on their own.
Built for Versatility and Durability
Modern hospitals demand equipment that is both robust and versatile. Our new chair is a single design that can accommodate both standard and bariatric patients, with a weight capacity of up to 300kg. This not only simplifies inventory but also ensures that every patient has access to the same high-quality care. We used reinforced components and robust construction to ensure the chair is reliable and long-lasting, even with continuous use.
We also added features that make life easier for medical staff. The new design has simplified castor selection and a straightforward leg rest design, making assembly and movement incredibly easy. For patient convenience, we've included USB charging and attachment options, so they can stay connected during their treatment.
Prioritizing Hygiene and Space
In any healthcare setting, cleanliness is non-negotiable. We approached hygiene from the ground up, designing the chair with smooth surfaces and concealed electrical components. This not only gives the chair a cleaner, more modern aesthetic but also makes it incredibly easy to sanitize, helping to prevent the spread of infections.
We also know that space is at a premium in hospitals. The chair has a compact footprint and is designed to fit within standard hospital dimensions, including clearance for up to a 15-degree apex angle floor. These space-efficient features help optimize the layout of a treatment room.
Ultimately, this project wasn't just about building a better chair—it was about creating a more compassionate and efficient healthcare experience at a competitive price. Our collaboration with a leading Australian manufacturer has resulted in a product that is not only a superior performer in form and ability but also a cost-effective solution designed to outperform international products and increase market attraction.
